By the 1964 model year the early model Corvair's rear suspension was at the height of its development, and featured a camber-compensating transverse link. This link provided improved handling just in time for an engine displacement increase. For the early model's final year, Chevrolet pushed the flat-six engine from 145 to 164 cubic inches, where it stayed into and throughout the late model production years, 1965-69. |
