Site Visitors' Survey Results
Preferred Corvairs: Respondents were asked to state their preferences in Corvairs. Keep in mind that many respondents chose more than one favorite, so the number of responses (460) was greater than the total number of respondents (294). Late model coupes won the largest number of votes, 25.6 percent of the total. Late convertibles were also extremely popular, scoring 20.9% of the vote. The early model club coupe was also slightly more popular than the convertible. When it came to Corvair 95 series trucks, the Rampside unseated the former favorite, the Greenbrier van, in this survey period. While viewing this table, keep in mind the fact that the model line up during the early model years was much more extensive than during the late years. By the 1965 model year, GM had the Chevy II and Chevelle to distract Corvair buyers, and by 1967, the Camaro offered yet another option. While the late model years were represented by only 3 Corvair body styles, they accounted for 50.9% of the vote. Early model popularity increased 10 points in this survey period. |
