Site Visitors' Survey Results
Preferred Corvair Series: The winner here was the Corvair Corsa, with 32.4% of the vote. The Corsa series, produced only in 1965 and '66, accounted for just over 2% of total Corvair production and slightly more than 10% of late model production. Also immensely popular were the Monza (or 900) and Monza Spyder Series, together accounting for 42.7% of the vote. In the combination, the Monza numbers exceed that of the Corsa. This is not surprising when you consider the Monza series was produced over the entire 10 year production life of the Corvair. The Monza was by far the Corvair's most popular series, with over 960,000 units produced (59% of Corvair production). The Monza's biggest sales year was 1962, when just over 150,000 were built, making the '62 Monza the all-time champ of Corvair production. More detailed production figures on all years of American and Canadian built Corvair cars are available in the Cutaway section of this site. Sorry, Corvair 95 numbers are not included at this time. |
