Water pump
The water pump is a Corvette high volume
reverse rotation unit, equipped with an air bleed fitting and braided hose from
Evans Cooling.
Evans also suggested plugging the by-pass and
weep holes in the pump, as the Evans propylene glycol coolant is viscous.
The wider shot below provides a view of the
water pump and water neck installation with the Evans hose running between the
two. It also provides a view of the serpentine belt assembly, the trick
alternator mounting hardware and a close up shot of the fuel rails and
injectors.
As we move forward, the valve covers in the
picture below will be replaced with some custom Corv-8 covers of Rick's
own design.
