Rick Norris Crown Corv-8

The links are aircraft aluminum heavy wall with left and right threaded ends and wrench flats on each end. Rod ends are high strength forgings with jam nuts and no grease fittings. Rick warns you don't want to have grease on them to attract and hold grit which would cause premature wear.

Outboard top passenger side 4-link shock clearance is close with the car on jack stands. The clearance improves when the car is carrying its weight, and it doesn't touch at any point, but it's still close.

This is a view of the outboard passenger side bottom 4-link mounting point. The links come in natural aluminum and Rick wanted a gold anodized look, so he sanded them with a fine grit paper and painted them with some paint from a kit sold by Eastwood.

The link kit was originally offered for stock Corvairs to improve handling and take the stress off the axle shafts and differential. Rick believes Charlie Clark, the long time SCCA racer, came up with the arrangement.

This is the Inboard top driver's side bracket for the 4-link. The brackets are nickel coated and the bolts are grade 8 with nyloc nuts.

Bob Coffin has the 4-link struts manufactured in Michigan.
