Corvair Memorabilia and Collectibles
A user's guide may not strictly qualify as memorabilia, but it is collectible. The serious vintage Corvair owner or restorer often just has to locate certain original items to complete the restoration. Items such as engine and trunk compartment decals, or an owner's manual for the glove box, add to authenticity. U.S. versions of the Canadian User's Guide shown at right are available from Corvair parts suppliers listed in the Links section of this site. |
During its production years, the Corvair received plenty of attention from automotive publications. In some cases, back-issues can be ordered from original sources. Others can only be obtained from collectors. |
Here's an October, 1959, issue of Popular Mechanics in which the new 1960 models of the Chevrolet Corvair, Ford Falcon and Plymouth Valiant were introduced and compared. |
This issue of the Corvair Society of America (CORSA) publication, Corvair Communiqués, bears the stamp of Yenko Chevrolet, builders of the Yenko Stinger, gracing the cover. |
