Daytona 2000 - Corvair Speedweek
There's something poetic about the Yenko Stinger and the Rampside facing each other in the picture below. The shot reminds me of the painting titled Horse and Train by Alex Colville, which depicts a horse in full gallop on a collision course with an oncoming train. The picture below is similarly composed, but whereas the train and horse are at odds, the two Corvairs, a race-bred '67 Yenko and early model utility truck peacefully coexist and share the limelight of the Concours event with each attracting its own admirers. The Stinger belongs to Robert Landers of Illinois. |

Bob Dunahugh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, owns the Yenko seen sharing a parking lot with another Corvair 95. Their purposes and body styles are radically different, but each has stood the test of time. |
