2001: A Corvair Odyssey

The Monza's custom interior is done in black velour material and features '73 Volvo seats that provide improved lumbar support and recline. High quality cut pile carpet covers the floor and the back of the fold-down rear seat. Other interior upgrades include a Corsa dash, auxiliary gauges, small diameter Grant steering wheel, cruise control from an Olds, custom pedal pads, and an updated stereo system.

In addition to the sunroof, (subject of another CORSA Tech Guide/Peter Jacobs article titled Sunroof Installation), the Monza's exterior is personalized with Talbot Jr. repro mirrors, under bumper driving lights, and matching dark grey accents on headlight bezels, wheels, rocker panels and in the rear cove area, perfectly complimenting the Super White clear coat paint that makes this go-fast Corvair a deserving attention-getter on show or on the street!

Above, the uniquely modified '68 practically blinds the camera with its brilliance. The judges saw past the glare however, and when they were finished with it, the Monza earned Gold for Dennis Arendt and scored a best-in-class 95.87 point total in the Concours d'Elegance Senior Division Modified, Late class!
