Site Visitors' Survey Results
"Ralph Nader was:" Again in this survey period, respondents had strong opinions about Corvair critic, Ralph Nader. Many selected multiple answers to complete the statement, "Ralph Nader was:" The response "making a name for himself" was the #1 answer, with 31.9% of the vote, reflecting the reality that the consumer advocate and author of Unsafe at Any Speed, did indeed "make his name" by attacking the Corvair. However, the "blithering idiot" responses ran a close second, at 28.6%. Ranking third was the response "totally wrong!" As I mentioned in previous survey results, collectively, respondents have safely logged millions of miles in Corvairs, and strongly disagree with Nader's conclusions. Only 1.7% agreed that Nader was "totally right about the Corvair." |
