Fuel tank and pickup

Rick installed a new fuel tank, coated inside and out. He predicts it will outlast him!

The inner lining, Clark's gas tank sealer, is applied by taping up the holes, pouring the sealer into the filler neck and sloshing it around. When Rick did this, he was standing in his driveway, holding the tank over his head and rotating it.

He says the neighbors probably though he was doing some kind of Zen/Yoga exercise. Let's not tell them that, In fact, he was!

The fuel pickup was modified for a high pressure fuel injection pump. It uses a 3/8" supply line and a 5/16" return.

Another view of the pickup. Rick drilled a 3/8" hole in the plate, inserted a 3/8" steel line and MIG welded it in place.
