The terrific Corvair Monza GT photos below, and the pair on the preceding pages were secured from McLellan's Automotive History, an excellent source of high quality, vintage automotive literature. For future reference, you'll find a link to the McLellan's web site in the Links section, under the category Other & Special Interest. Visit McLellan's now by clicking on this link. |
Another source of experimental, pre-production and production Corvair photographs is the General Motors Media Archive in Detroit, which has thousands of photographs, and can provide you with prints or electronic graphics files. The service is not free because the library is so extensive that a researcher has to be assigned to search for images of the car or cars that interest you. In September of 1998, I was informed by GM that a fee of $60/hour is charged to cover the cost of the researcher. Additional fees of approximately $15 per print apply. If you want graphics files, there is a charge for processing. You must make your request in writing and state the intended use of the photos. Examples include personal use, use in commercial advertising, or to enhance retrospective newspaper or magazine articles about the Corvair. |
