The vast majority of Corvair Monza sport sedans were ordered with 110 horsepower engines replacing the base 95 hp engine. A 3-speed manual transmission with floor mounted shifter was standard. A 4-speed manual was optional at extra cost, as was a 2-speed Powerglide if you preferred an automatic. The Monza could also be ordered with the 140 Horsepower engine. The 140 was available in all series of 1965 and '66 cars including the base model, Corvair 500. It was not offered in the forward control Corvair truck series. All late model sedans were pillar-less hardtops, built on a 108 inch wheelbase. The one below was given a two-tone paint job with trim molding separating the light gray from the Ermine White. |

For 1966, the brighter Lemonwood Yellow, as seen on the sport sedan below, replaced the Crocus Yellow offered on both the Corsa and Monza (but not of the 500) in the '65 model year. |

The Corvair design studies were also named "Monza." See them by visiting the GT/SS section of this site. Many more late and early model Monzas appear in the Extra! section. |
