CAR and DRIVER road test graph - Corvair Sprint

CAR and DRIVER Corvair Sprint collage

So, that was the story in 1965. Today, the Sprint remains a popular variant of the Corvair, and still turns heads at Corvair events. A superlative example is seen below. Robert Landers' restored '65 Sprint closely resembles the Car and Driver cover car.

Robert Lander's 1965 Fitch Sprint

John Fitch stayed in Connecticut and is often seen at Corvair gatherings, where he is known to show up in the Corvair sports car of his own design, the Fitch Phoenix. To see the Phoenix, click here.
