Notice the aluminum trim around the gas hatch? This practical dress-up item was intended to protect the car's paint from damage caused by careless gas nozzle insertion. The piece was a popular mover at GM parts counters and was installed by the dealer or the owner. |

Cars of this caliber trade in the neighborhood of $7,500 U.S. There were 3,142 1966 Corvair Corsa convertibles produced in the U.S. By comparison, north of the border in Canada, a mere 211 were built by the GM plant workers at the Oshawa, assembly plant located a few miles from Toronto, Ontario. |
