Daytona 2000 - Corvair Speedweek
Scott Seversin, who's 1962 Spyder coupe won the Edward N. Cole award in 1994, brought this hot looking late model coupe to play at Daytona. Equipped with a LeVair Performance Products 6-runner intake manifold and an appropriately sized 4-barrel carb, this car is set up for autocross action. Unfortunately, I didn't see the car perform due to a reservations snag at the host hotel that made it necessary for me to transfer to another hotel for the last night of my stay. I left the autocross event just as the competition cars were preparing to run. It was starting to rain, and I thought the racing would stop, but I later learned the rain had cleared and the racing had resumed. Next time, I'll book early! |
