Daytona 2000 - Corvair Speedweek
It was a blistering hot day at the Speedway, with temperatures hovering around 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 Celcius). Trying to move quickly and photograph as many Corvairs as possible, I worked up a steady sweat. As I shot the interior of this 1963 Greenbrier camper, I was tempted to reach into the Coleman cooler for something — make that anything — cold. No doubt I wasn't the only person to consume several bottles of water that day. The Concours judges probably went through a few gallons over the 6 hours of the event. |

The '63 camper won a trophy in the car display, and belongs to Tim Schwartz of Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. |
